Sailor Moon has stayed in my memories even after its long time absence from the TV screens. Watching Sailor Moon episodes still remains one of my favorite pastimes. Somehow, the series possesses a non-diminishable captivating charm. That is why I look to download its episodes, every time I am presented with this great opportunity. Believe me friends; I was truly among the craziest fans of this cult series. Any piece of writing pertaining to Sailor Moon still attracts me beyond explainable levels.
In case somebody queries me about my pet episode, my immediately reply as always is, “Computer School Blues.” Serena takes the majority of screen time in this episode. It focused on her struggles to manage her personal and school life. Somehow, I still remember most of the scenes of this particular episode.
The episode initiates with a conversation between Serena and her mother. The subject matter of this talk pertains to strategies to be adopted by Serena to prepare for her upcoming exams. Serena makes excuses to cover up her non-seriousness towards her studies. To counter her mother’s criticism, Serena says that she is still too small to manage such stressful life and needs have a break. However her mother sticks to her hard stance by saying that she used to furnish similar excuses to convince her mother.
What follows next is black cat asking Serena to concentrate on her studies. Serena refutes her advice by claiming that she is destined to become the “Sailor Moon” for clearing this world from the prevailing evils. Black cat is convinced with Serena’s stance, however she still wants Serena to study as it will give pleasure and satisfaction to her mother. Finally Serena starts to study.
Afterwards, queen is shown as striving to derail the overall satellite system. This will assist her in disabling the entire computer network of the earth. On the following day Serena appears in the exams. She manages the unbelievable feet of getting praiseworthy scores. I can recall my reaction to this. My mind was filled with a single word, “Wow.”
